Lightning Board for Australian mine sites

Lightning status everyone on site can see.

A site-mounted beacon board that turns live lightning data into a status every worker can read at a glance. No phone to check. No radio relay. No waiting on a call from the office.

Built around real operations

The forecast is not enough. Crews need the status where they work.

Faster stand-downs

Status changes on the board the moment the data does. Nobody has to manually check the weather to issue the alert.

Cleaner restarts

When the hazard clears, everyone sees it at the same time. Return to work as quickly as possible, with confidence.

One status, every shift

Contractors, operators and visitors read the same lights. No interpretation, no phones out on the pad.

Fail-safe by design

No signal, no lights. A dark board means no data, never an all-clear.

How it works

Turnkey alerting on site

1

Detect and alert

PartlyCloudy SiteOps monitors lightning around your site. Alerts go to teams on site and straight to the board.

2

Display

The beacons and sirens update automatically over 4G or site Wi-Fi.

3

Decide

The board flags the hazard. Your site’s lightning procedure makes the call.

Aligned to your Trigger Action Response Plan (TARP)

Orange and red follow the Australian Warning System colours. Trigger distances are set to match your site’s TARP.

  • Green: All clear. No lightning within your outer trigger.
  • Orange: Approaching. Lightning within your outer trigger.
  • Red: Critical. Lightning within your stop-work trigger.
  • Dark: No data. Treat as unknown, not clear.

The Lightning Board is a visual aid that supports, not replaces, your site’s lightning procedures and official warnings. The wind rating applies to the board alone; have your mounting structure assessed separately.
